BSC partners with African tech leader Captive Labs to continue its drive to digitize banking worldwideDecember 2021
Banking Software Company (BSC) and leading Botswanan IT company Captive Labs are partnering to expand the distribution of BSC's omnichannel digital banking platform DBOS and its other digital banking solutions to Botswana and the entire Southern African region.
Captive Labs will be handling the sales and implementation of these cutting-edge solutions enabling banks in the region to offer their customers state-of-the-art digital banking tools alongside existing off-line banking services or the opportunity to create a brand new digital turnkey bank that is fully online.
Opening up the market in Botswana is a significant step for BSC as they establish themselves on the African continent. Botswana, well known for its wildlife and famous wetlands, is also abundant in natural resources and one of the most dynamic economies in Africa. Establishing this partnership with Captive Labs puts BSC in an excellent position to become a leading banking software provider throughout this key strategic region.
BSC is already a leader in digital banking solutions in Europe, Asia and the USA and has recently decided to penetrate the African region. Asked to comment, BSC’s Director of Business Development Armand Magharian said, “Africa has recently been one of our main targets and Captive Labs with its highly talented and dedicated team based in Botswana, will play an important role in covering both the commercial and technical aspects of the projects. Hand in hand, we are looking forward to offering the latest technologies to the digital banking industry on the Botswanan and African market.”
Captive Labs always seeks out the finest tech solutions to help their clients achieve their objectives, so adding BSC’s suite of industry leading digital banking solutions to the arsenal of tech services available to their clients was a natural addition.
When asked his opinion on the digital transformation of the region’s banking industry, Captive Labs CEO Charles Seotseneng commented, “The radical reshaping of the banking industry in Botswana and Southern Africa through technologies that allow seamless integration will be a key driver in value creation. Digital banking by its nature allows convenience and advanced features while ensuring security. Customers will have advanced banking controls at their fingertips. The habit of physically going to the bank is deeply instilled in the Botswanan population and we think this will be a game changer. Of course, the reality of Covid 19 will also be a driving force in speeding adoption of these new tools.”
BSC’s industry leading solutions will help transform the region’s banking market allowing banks to stay relevant, retain clients and acquire new ones using the most up-to-date, data-driven technologies on the market. These include award winning mobile and internet banking, digital onboarding of new clients and digital communication channels enabling personalized offers at the right time, in the right place and tailored to their client’s needs.
BSC, a founding member of the Finshape Group, was established in 1990. Prague-based BSC ranks among Europe’s leading banking software suppliers. The company serves a customer base across Europe, Asia, and the US with products such as an omnichannel digital banking platform, a regulatory reporting suite and integrated payments and card management solutions.
